How we met... Part II...according to Betsy

So I decided to join a Brooklyn beach activity since I don't need too much to convince me to go to the beach.  I arrived late at Coney Island, but people were still there and I had the opportunity to build a sand castle and watch a group play a game.  Garrett was part of the group and I once again noticed his smile.  

It wasn't until most of the group decided to leave that we actually started talking.  I had to get a hot dog while I was there and Garrett thought that was a great idea.  He was more than willing to stand in line with me.  I wasn't sure if it was just for the hot dog or to talk to me - now I know it was both. :)

After hot dogs and another LONG subway ride, Garrett got my number....

How we met...according to Betsy

People keep telling me that I should post my memories about how we met.  So here it is - How we met according to Betsy.

Each year that I live in Manhattan I choose a new goal.  The first year was to see a slew of Broadway shows and live like a tourist when possible.  The second year was to see things outside of Manhattan more.  This extended to my third year too.  So when Stacey invited me to her 4th of July party in Brooklyn, I jumped on the chance to view New York in a new way.

After a LONG subway ride, I walked through a quaint neighborhood to her apartment.  While waiting for the fireworks and seeing the beautiful view I met Garrett.  I thought I impressed him since I was an engineer with an MBA.  But he kept talking about all these different parts of Brooklyn and that this was the best place in the world.  I didn't necessarily have that same affinity toward NY, but I liked that he was passionate about it.  I also liked how happy he was.  

We talked for a bit and walked to the train (with a group of people).  He didn't ask for my number and I wasn't sure if I would see him again...

Christina suggested that we go find places and take pictures for practice.  Here's some of the fruits of our labors.  Some are better then others.  Now I need to determine what to wear!
