Honeymoon Highlights

As you may know, Garrett planned a lovely honeymoon to Barcelona. Since many people have been asking about the trip, I thought we should post a few pictures. It was beautiful and we loved it so much! These are of Costa Brava...

Corn Puddin'

Well the corn puddin' was a big hit at the Virginia reception. I know a few people who requested the recipe. I did make sure that it wasn't a secret family recipe...

Corn Pudding (or puddin')

1 can cream corn

1 can regular corn

1 stick butter

1 box of Jiffy corn muffin mix (the brand is important)

8 oz sour cream

Melt butter in 9x13 pan. Mix all other ingredients together and put in pan. Bake at 350 for 30 minutes. Then eat!

Team Rose

It is official...we are married!!! The entire weekend (and past 2 weeks) were filled with many little blessings and happy moments. Garrett greeted me when I finally landed in Utah and the festivities began. Dinner with our parents that night. The next morning we had a gathering of mothers and sisters for a relaxing, delicious brunch.

Then the next day we gathered the larger bunch up the canyon for Dutch oven cooking. My Uncle John (an expert in this area) created a delightful dinner. The only glitch was the dirt road that ate the tire on the Budge's van. But all got safely up and down the mountain before dark.

Then we had a BEAUTIFUL day at the Manti Temple. We could not ask for better weather, timing, or location. Garrett and his family met us at the front of the temple and we walked in single...but a short hour later that changed. We can't share details, but the ceremony was beautiful and we appreciated all who attended.

Our photographers saved the day by creating and bringing flowers (since we forgot flowers from our Mapleton florist). After 2 hours of photos, Garrett's mom declared we would start photos earlier in Virginia...since there are so many beautiful places to get pictures there. At dinner, I surprised Garrett with his groom's cake. He was impressed with how close I came to the VT colors in a cake helmet. A big Thank You to my cousin, Stacy, who brought all of her amazing cake stuff to create it. Then we both were surprised by a glorious quilt pieced together with love from so many of our dear family and friends. Thank you! It will definitely be cherished.

The next day did not have any rain (just a breeze) and cooled down considerably. So much that I had to borrow my dear husband's jacket. I think he felt chivalrous sharing his coat with me. Everything was so beautiful! Pictures will be coming.

Then we flew off to our exciting honeymoon in Spain. Highlights: warm Mediterranean water/breezes, relaxing beach, TAPAS, nice people, pickpockets & Garrett's wallet, old cathedral with organist (who played for us and let us play), Gaudi/Dali/Piccasso, etc

Now we are back and enjoying NYC. Safe and sound as Dr & Mrs Garrett Rose. One more reception left...

It's tomorrow. The wedding is tomorrow! WOW.

Dr. and Mrs. Garrett Rose . . . has a nice ring to it! Now where are those wedding rings???

Three Days

The bride has arrived safely in Utah. Those last minute details are coming together!
